PMR BTCC Astra to join Touring Car Trophy grid at Donington

Power Maxed Racing (PMR) have today announced the fielding of one of their race winning British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) Vauxhall Astras during the upcoming Touring Car Trophy (TCT) finale at Donington Park.
The Next Generation Touring Car (NGTC) specification machine will be piloted by TCT organiser and former BTCC driver, Stewart Lines. The Birmingham-based driver, who’s company Maximum Networks have sponsored PMR for the 2019 season, will take to the wheel of the Warwickshire-built Astra for 2 races across the weekend.

PMR are used to campaigning a pair of Astras, one of which famously took victory at the 2019 season finale at the hands of British motorsport legend Jason Plato, and have achieved multiple podiums this season with him and teammate, Rob Collard, alongside a string of race wins during the 2018 season.

Sunday’s first race will kick off at 10:15, followed by the season final at 13:45, and fans can watch all the action live on TCR UK’s Facebook or YouTube channels.

Stewart Lines, - “The opportunity to get back in a BTCC car was too good to miss, and I’m looking forward to the weekend. The grid is growing by the day, and the TCRUK/TCT race should be great for spectators and armchair viewers alike, who are looking for an extra touring fix before the season ends.”
